Summary
The Moura community has spoken. Green will be the signature colour of the new aged-care expansion, adjacent to the Moura Multipurpose Health Service.
More than 50 residents participated in the colour selection process, casting their votes at two community sessions held at the Moura library, as well as through an online survey.
The winning palette features fresh, natural tones of green that will complement the existing building’s exterior.
Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service Chief Executive Lisa Blackler said it was fabulous the community had shown such interest in this project.
“We are excited to watch as this facility develops, and this colour-palette decision is a key milestone as it moves ahead.”
The expansion will deliver eight residential aged-care beds, along with a new kitchen and laundry, a converted storeroom, reception and lounge areas, car parks with a drop-off zone, and outdoor spaces for residents and visitors.
Contractor Bridgeman has commenced early works, with the project expected to be complete by mid-2026, weather permitting.
